Tom Reis became President and CEO of Datasafe in 1986. Tom joined the company in 1978. Reis started as Controller before serving as Vice President of Operations.

He believes that records management companies should not only strive to provide a commodity, but to become an extension of their clients' organization as well.

Tom envisions the records management industry will soon use document imaging for nearly all accesses. He has positioned Datasafe on the forefront of imaging not only to save clients money and time, but to ensure it is part of a comprehensive records management scenario.

Tom has been on the board of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA), a member of The Executive Committee (TEC) and the Business Advisory Council (BAC).

Tom was on the PRISM International board (Professional Records & Information Services Management) from 1991 to 1993 and coordinated the association's publication of the first commercial record center industry rack/shelving guidelines in the Spring of 1991. He has been a PRISM International seminar leader in several conferences on a variety of topics, including financial reporting, sales compensation plans, targeting profitable sales, succession planning, disaster recovery, and ISO 9000.

Tom received his BA in Psychology from Middlebury College in Vermont and his MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He also earned his Certified Public Accountant certificate with Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte & Touche.)

Debra Pierce was named Vice President of Operations in 2010. She joined Datasafe in 1993 as the Customer Service Manager. She was quickly promoted to the Director of Operations. Debra later took on the role of Vice President of Corporate Services from 2004 to 2010. She is now back in the Operations Department and is responsible for both the Hard Copy and Vital Records facilities at Datasafe.

Debra came to Datasafe with over 15 years of experience in the airline industry, where she managed numerous Alaska Airlines customer operations facilities throughout the United States.

Debra also worked with several independent records management companies in the implementation and conversion of various software systems.

Rob Reis, elder son of Tom Reis, joined Datasafe as a full-time employee in May 2005 as the Operations Manager for the Vital Records facilities. In 2008, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Finance before moving into his current position as Vice President of Finance and Sales in 2010. Rob had previously been employed by Datasafe on a part-time basis for over 10 years as a summer employee. During that period, he worked in all operating departments, and assisted in computer conversions in 1998 and in 2001.

Prior to joining Datasafe as a full-time employee, Rob earned a B.A. at Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, with a double major in Economics and Psychology, and an MBA at Golden Gate University, San Francisco, with a concentration in Finance. He was employed for two years as an Assistant Buyer at the headquarters of Beverages and More (BevMo!), where he also assisted in planning the openings of several new retail stores.

Devi Soetanto joined Datasafe in February 2008 as Accounting Manager. She was promoted to Director of Finance and Accounting in January 2009. Devi is responsible for managing a department of four in day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Prior to Datasafe, Devi worked in accounting for over 12 years in various industries, mostly Real Estate and Project Development for public and private companies.

Devi earned her MBA degree with an emphasis in Finance from Azusa Pacific University.

Daryl Savage joined Datasafe in May 2001 as a Delivery Representative in the Palo Alto record center. He was later promoted to South Bay Operations Manager to oversee the company's Palo Alto and Newark facilities and clients.

Shortly after, Daryl was moved to the South San Francisco Operations Manager position. In January 2009, he was promoted to Director of Operations overseeing the Sacramento, South San Francisco, Newark and Palo Alto Facilities and day-to-day operations.

Karen Lynch was named Director of Sales in November 2008. Karen joined Datasafe in March 2007 as Sales Manager. In this role, she led the Datasafe Sales team in pursuing new business opportunities and invigorating the revenue of Datasafe's client base. Karen is a relationship builder, with expertise in quickly assessing issues and developing solutions that meet customer, corporate and partner expectations. Karen now manages all sales related activities of the Datasafe Sales Team while remaining focused on providing outstanding service to clients.

Karen came to Datasafe with over 16 years sales experience in Communications/Data distribution at Graybar as Senior Sales Representative, Sales Manager, Area Manager-Northern California, and Business Development Manager prior to joining Datasafe. She earned her B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University.

Jose Moreno began working for Datasafe in 2000 as a Records Center Attendant for Datasafe's Palo Alto facility and moved into the IT world in November 2001 as PC Support Specialist. From there, Jose held various positions in the IT Department and was promoted to IT Project Manager in 2007. Before joining Datasafe, Jose was the IT Manager for a government agency for six years and a math teacher in Mexico for four years. Jose was promoted to Director of Information Technology in 2010.
